Metering, transfer pumps and instrumentation are used in a wide variety of markets. Because of the nature of the pumps used it is necessary to have the most compatibility for each material in the pump. Materials pumped change from low, acidic to high pH products. There is a need to replace or repair pumps based on their use.

The instrumentation required varies from market to market. The broad scope is for flow, pH, conductivity, resistivity, ORP, Free Chlorine, temperature and pressure. The overlap between markets using pumps and/or specific instrumentation may also vary.

Included in these markets are city water and waste water treatment plants, power plants, and central power plants at private facilities, such as hospitals, schools. Gas processing plants, greenhouse operations, ultrapure and DI water systems are also customers for this type of equipment.

The most critical need is getting the correct equipment into the operation the first time. It takes experience to know the various markets and the type of equipment required by each. Each city has requirements for metering and chemical transfer pumps to treat water for drinking.
